We are pleased to announce the April luncheon will be held on Tuesday, April 9th at 12:00pm at the University Club. This lunch will include a discussion with Kathryn Wylde, President and CEO of the Partnership for New York City, a nonprofit organization whose members are global business leaders and the city’s major employers. The Partnership is the primary liaison between business and local government, providing private sector expertise and resources to public agencies and programs. Areas of focus include education, transportation, infrastructure, public safety, and economic opportunity. Prior to taking over as Partnership CEO in 2000, Wylde led the Partnership’s city-wide affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, and business investment programs.
Kathy will be interviewed by YM/WREA and Partnership for New York City member Leslie Wohlman Himmel who is the Co-Managing Partner of Himmel + Meringoff Properties, which she founded with Stephen Meringoff in 1985. The firm specializes in creating long-term strategic value through owning, operating, and redeveloping office and industrial properties concentrated in New York City. A fervent advocate for the commercial real estate industry, Ms. Himmel has served on REBNY’s Executive Committee since 2008 and is the Founder and Co-Chair of the organization’s Economic Development Committee. She is also a member of various industry and civic-minded organizations, including the Real Estate Roundtable, and UDMUC Red Council of the Urban Land Institute.
Invocation will be given by Lindsay Ornstein, our 2017 Chairman.
