We are pleased to announce the May luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 14th at 12:00pm at the University Club.
This lunch will include a discussion with David Aviram, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Maverick Real Estate Partners. In 2010, David and his partner Ted Martell founded Maverick, an institutionally-backed private equity fund manager that acquires distressed real estate debt investments in New York City. David led the development of Maverick’s data-driven systems that uncover hidden investment opportunities. A narrow geographic focus, unquenchable thirst to develop market intelligence, and delivery of insights to the industry stakeholders have been the keys to Maverick’s value creation. Prior to Maverick, David was Vice President at Eastdil Secured, and worked in Bloomberg LP’s sales and analytics departments. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School with a concentration in real estate finance and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Aviram will be interviewed by YM/WREA governor Dave Carswell who is a Managing Director of a boutique mortgage banking firm where he specializes in Life Co loan origination. He has been a member of YM/WREA since 2020 and is currently serving in his third year on the board, spearheading the association’s Education and Mentorship efforts. Additionally Dave is undertaking the return of REBNY’s Commercial Finance Committee where he is actively recruiting committee members. Dave is passionate about connecting with and serving alongside fellow practitioners in the New York real estate community.
Invocation will be given by Nicky Heryet, Chairman from 1994.
