What:
George Washington Bridge Kayak Trip: We’ll go kayaking north past the Upper West Side and under the GW Bridge, land for a picnic-style lunch along the cliffs of the Palisades, then ride the ebb current home. It’s a longer, advanced-level trip on the Hudson River, participants should have kayaked with us in the past or have other experience kayaking.
When:
Thursday, July 10th from 8:30AM to 2:30 PM
Where:
Meet at Pier 84 Boathouse (555 12th Avenue just south of Intrepid)
Bring:
-Shoes that can get wet (old sneakers or water shoes)
-Water bottle
-Energy supplements
-Lunch (There are no open restaurants in that area during the trip, so everyone should bring a bagged lunch)
-Secure hat / cap
-Sunscreen
-Paddling gloves
-Please arrive in quick-dry gym clothes. Your bottoms will get wet. Bring full change of clothes for after!
-Nice to have: Dry bag, waterproof phone case, and lock for the lockers
