Austin Shiau
Austin Shiau serves as Vice President for HGI where he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring, and closing new equity and credit opportunities nationally, as well as strategic asset management of the existing portfolio. Prior to joining HGI, Mr. Shiau was one of the first hires at WatermanCLARK, a vertically integrated investment and operating company focused on the acquisition of dislocated and mispriced New York City real estate. He began his career at LaSalle Investment Management, ultimately leading new deal execution on behalf of the firm’s commingled funds and separate accounts. Mr. Shiau has since executed $6+ billion of transaction volume across product types, strategies, and structures. He holds a B.Sc. from Cornell University.
